SchoolsBox is a suite of software solution that allows schools to inform on required academic and non-academic details. It is a solution designed after a careful observation of the academic system in Nigeria and because it is indigenous, it addresses core Nigerian issues, like our system of education, lack of internet connection. The whole suite can be used offline and also our ability to adapt it to suite any changing government policy.

Features and Benefits

Staying Informed - SchoolsBox allows all educational stakeholders to have a stay informed with the school system. There are five essential components that are core to school system;

• Parents : The parents provide the children that come to these schools and also they play the role of educating the student in “home training” as well as assisting the teacher to make sure what is taught in school does not go away unlearnt.


• Teachers: The pupil spends a larger part of the day with the teacher in school; they educate the children in Academic and Non-Academic activities. They are the major driving force in informing the academic process.


• Technology


• Educational regulatory bodies (Government Educational Ministries): These bodies are set up to guide the educational industry but they don’t have real-time access to the working details in our schools.


• The student: this is the major beneficiary of the educational process. It is for the student’s benefit that the entire components above are put in place and without the student there is no education or educational system.

Effective Communication with Stakeholders - SchoolsBox allows all the above core stakeholders to effectively communicate and also play their roles to make sure that the educational system is properly informed.

Ease of access to crucial information - All the stakeholders in the educational system have access to their required information easily. Students, parents can logon and check their own academic performance, teachers can easily access information on how a student in their class is performing, the educational bodies know and have statistics of all schools within their jurisdiction easily and at the end of the day the pupil has no hiding place

Ease of use - SchoolsBox is an easy to use system. It is simple to use and all information required is just at the click of a mouse away.

Promotes Stakeholders Interactivity - SchoolsBox allows all the stakeholders in the educational sector to interact seamlessly:

• Teacher teaches student and monitors the student’s progress,


• Student can check his/her progress, parents can check student’s progress and can communicate with teacher directly on issues relating to student,


• Education ministries have access to student and teacher’s information


• The information available on the teacher can also form the basis of the teacher’s appraisal.


• Allow easy monitoring of schools from one administrative interface: SchoolsBox allows easy monitoring of schools from a common place because it supports the multi-school feature. This feature allows you to group schools together and have access to all their information from a common interface. This means in the event of a policy change, it can be effected to all schools within a locality from an interface within the solutions


• It is a secured system: information from SchoolsBox is secure and encrypted. This means there are measures in place that would restrict a user to only what the user needs to see. Also, every user’s activity is logged and can be viewed by the administrator or auditor later when required. This means everything done on SchoolsBox leaves a footprint.


• Supports Local Languages: SchoolsBox is locally multi-region. This means you can setup you local language of choice between the 3 major languages in Nigeria (this feature is only available for the self service module).


• Ability to work offline: Internet access is a luxury that we may not be able to afford all the time in this part off the globe, SchoolsBox can be used as an offline application, it allows you to work with the internet if it is available and if not you can still continue working until internet is available again.
